Adam Bertocci's Bandit Beloved
By Samuel Swauger
“Bandit Beloved: A Short Story” has an enticing beginning. Admittedly, when I first read about the work, it didn’t sound like my sort of book. I’ve never been a fan of romantic comedy books, but Bertocci’s enthralling writing is what drove me to continue. There’s a certain charm and ease to it. A slackening conversational tone pervades the work.
It would be a failure on my part not to mention the natural and well-executed comedic elements of this story. The writing flows smooth from vivid description into subtle yet amusing jokes and puns.
Overall, I’d rate the story an eight out of ten. It’s comedic and worth the read.
